THIS year already looks promising for students at Vandyke Upper School after they received their GCSE certificates just before Christmas.
Once again, Year 12 celebrated the school’s best ever GCSE results when they, together with those students who left in the summer, received their certificates at a special presentation and reception.

Sean Downey, Assistant Head Teacher of Student Development, said: “It was a wonderful occasion and important to take some time to properly celebrate the fantastic successes of this special year group.

“The mark of a healthy community is when individuals, whilst celebrating their own achievements, are also able to share in the joy of others and their achievements.

“We are very proud of this year group who, through their individual and collective efforts, have set a challenging target for others to aim for.”
