Two houses burgled at night

Police need information.
POLICE would like to speak to anyone with information about two burglaries which happened in the town over the weekend.

The first was on Saturday (August 30) at 4.10am in Cotefield Drive, Leighton.

A man ran off towards Heath Road after being disturbed at the house. Police are still investigating what was taken. Anyone with information should call PC Victoria Knight in confidence on 01234 841212.

The second burglary was discovered at 6.28am on Sunday (August 31) in Grasmere Way, Linslade.

The owner found the front door wide open and a lap top, handbag with personal effects and a wallet were stolen. Police are keen to speak to anyone with information. Call PC Adam Balcomb on 01234 841212.

A police spokesperson said: "Residents should be aware that these incidents have happened and double check security at night. Handbags, mobiles and car keys should be kept out of sight."
