ONCE upon a time . . . there was a Leighton theatre group who got 'Lost in Storyland' . . . but will they live happily ever after?
Theatre Company Sparx' new show has been devised by the cast, who have worked hard to show a new and exciting twist on some of literature's most well known characters.

The story begins in story book worlds where good always triumphs over evil, but then it all starts going wrong. An unknown power is kidnapping characters from the stories in order to make way for the computer game revolution.

To combat this, a group of top-whack investigators are set on the trail of the missing characters. What follows is an adventure of epic proportions through many worlds and stories. Will good triumph over evil? Go along to Leighton's Lake Street Theatre, above the library, this Saturday (July 19), at 7.30pm, and find out?

Sparx is a locally-based theatre company for people with special needs and is open to all ages. It also actively encourages integration and welcomes anyone who wishes to participate.

The company holds creative drama workshops on Saturday mornings between 10.30am and 12.15 in the Leighton Buzzard Theatre lounge. These workshops are run throughout the year during school terms, culminating in productions performed at the theatre.

For tickets to see Lost in Storyland call the box office on 01582 818801. Tickets cost £5.50 (£4.50 concessions).
