WE all love a good panto (oh yes we do!) so we're happy to hear that the Wing Players were on top form with their adaption of CINDERELLA.
Here's a review of the show from LBO reader Janice March, of Linslade, who saw the panto with her family.

I have never wrote to a newspaper in the past, but feel after watching Wing Players latest pantomime "Cinderella" I had to write and congratulate the cast and crew.

We saw the pantomime advertised on the boards on Wing road and decided to take ourselves to the Saturday evening performance.

As I had never been to an amateur dramatic production, I was unsure what to expect.

We paid on the door for myself, husband and two grandchildren and settled down for the show.

From the moment the curtain opened the atmosphere buzzed with enthusiasm and excitement. The set was fantastic, the costumes were professional and the music and singing was like something from the West End!

But more importantly, we laughed until we were sore. This production was full of all the ingredients you would expect from a traditional pantomime, plus loads more.

Wing Players seemed to capture the subtle story of Cinderella combined with the antics of two brilliant ugly sisters, an amazing fairy godmother, an evil stepmother, two silly stooges, an announcer with a speech impediment and two ostriches thrown into the mix!

A special mention has to go to Gavyn Lugsden who played one of the ugly sisters. From combing his underarm hair in the bedroom scene to losing his wig, Gavyn immersed himself into the part 100%.

Well done to all, and we cannot wait for next year's show.
